cubsfan Report post Posted January 11, 2008 I have hunted quail around Peralta Rd. My buddy got into some pigs one day when we were out there.
mattys281 Report post Posted January 11, 2008 GLASS GLASS GLASS AND GLASS SOME MORE! Find the best looking habitat you can and pick it a part. I second that. Get into a spot where you can glass south & south eastern slopes right at sun up. Javelina aren't insulated very well like deer & elk, so they'll often feed up into the sunlight early in the a.m. & then bed down & bake for a while to chase off the chill of the night. It's not a sure-fire technique, but it's landed a couple for me. Matt S.
tjhunt2 Report post Posted January 13, 2008 Sounds like you have gotten quite a few places to choice from. I've hunted some of them mentioned so you are pretty well set to start. Don't forget yout varmit call. I have harvested many that way. TJ
