Not sure why they would close the Wallow Fire area. It needs to burn again badly!!! Plus there isn't enough fuel for a big fast moving fire.

So it could burn a bunch more forest that hasnt burned? No close them.

I live near where that bear was spotted. Happens every time it's this dry. They drop off Four Peaks in a desperate search for food and water.

 

And I agree on the closure! Shut the whole thing down now!

Poor bastard. Could have dropped off 4 Peaks and hot water on two sides. He chose unwisely.

I just read also that Coconino County SO and Flagstaff PD will be conducting early am and night flights to find illegal fires.

Hopefully if they find people with fires, there will be heavy fines and not just warnings.

Theyve had the electronic signs going down the 101 freeway in Phoenix saying extreme fire danger. I dont think Ive ever seen those in town before. Hopefully it helps.
