4A Juniors Elk Hunt Looking for a Camping Partner with Other Juniors

MY SON HAS THE 10/12 TO 10/18 HUNT. WE ARE EITHER GOING TO BRING TOYHAULER OR RENT A CABIN.

WANTED TO GET THERE A FEW DAYS EARLY TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE.

BUT, MY SON AND I WENT ALONG ON OUR NEIGHBORS HUNT LAST YEAR AND HE HAD HIS

IN THE FIRST 10 MINUTES OF THE HUNT.

ANYHOW, IF INTERESTED IN DISCUSSING SHOOT ME A MESSAGE. MY SON WILL BE 13.

Have you considered going to or camping with the elk/deer youth camp group Arizona Deer Association puts on? That would be my pick.

Yup the camp is pretty much right on the border of 23 and 4a and it's awesome. We've been there the last 2 years and will be again this year. They feed you which is awesome and lots of prizes for the kids.

 

Btw that is a killer hunting rig.

4A JUNIORS?

We will be there, but are likely going to stay with the ADA camp.  We have three girls with tags (two @ 11 yo and one @ 15yo).  Double the number of youth tags on that hunt this year.  It will be interesting to see if it feels crowded.

We will be up there too...first big game tag for my 15yr old son. Camped up on the rim this past Saturday and woke up to 4-5inches of fresh snow! Did see a lot of sign, so hopeful for an easy harvest. We will be checking out the ADA camp also.
