Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted May 11, 2018 Very inspiring story about human capabilities and motivation! http://www.nbc4i.com/news/u-s-world/girl-with-no-hands-wins-handwriting-contest/1171579033 CHESAPEAKE, VA (WCMH) -- A girl in Virginia is showing that not having hands isn’t something that will hold her back. Anaya Ellick, 9, tells WTKR, she thinks she can do anything. “I’ll be able to do it if I try,” she says. And with Anaya’s latest achievement, it’s easy to believe her. Anaya was born without hands, but on Wednesday she was announced as the winner of the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting contest under a special needs category for her ability to write so well in cursive. This isn’t the first time that Anaya’s penmanship has won her an award either. She won the same award in 2016 for her print handwriting. “I was happy and I thought my mom was joking when she said I won again,” the third grader tells WTKR. Anaya isn’t through yet though, she says she think she’s going to tackle sports next.

tjhunt2 Report post Posted May 12, 2018 Thanks for sharing. When we think we have it tough there is always someone else that isn't as well off. We should be blessed with what we have and not complain. TJ
