huntz Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Im going to bullhead city this weekend and was wondering what lures you guys like to use for stripers there. I was thinking of fishing by willow beach.
longshooter Report post Posted April 4, 2018 If you're fishing around willow beach your best bet is trout pattern swim baits . Some good size stripers around willow beach For numbers you're better off going down towards cotton wood cove and use spoons, shad pattern cranks, swim baits or fish with cut anchovies

jim Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Throw the same swimbaits on the river right there in bullhead. Lots of good stripers caught along the river around the bridge.
huntz Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Could I throw a big swimbaut with lmb gear or should I get a bigger bait casting setup
jim Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Depends on what you are going to throw. Heavy bass gear will handle most 5 to 6 inch swim baits in the boot tail category. I throw some of the them on my flipping sticks. i will throw a s waiver on my heavy jig rods or deep crank rod.
