Yoshi Report post Posted March 26, 2018 Tested my A300 Outlander 12GA with a New Carlson Long beard choke (.650) and the best result was the LB#5 tested at 25yd. and 50yd...did shot a little bit over (miss12bb) not use to a choke so tight (was using BEFORE .685).....want to know what do you'll think? Tested our 870 Remington 20 GA, (Kicks choke.560 with a 26") at 25 yd. and up to 50 yd. and the Long Beards #6 worked the best .....wanted to know what you'll think???...Don't plan to have him shot at 50 but would think thtas its good to know and would keep it below 40

rossislider Report post Posted March 26, 2018 That will definitely get it done! My kid's 20 gauge Remington 870 youth shotgun with Longbeard is also a fantastic combo. Don't remember the choke brand but can check later if anyone wants to know.

Ed67 Report post Posted March 29, 2018 Lol my son shot a Tom over water in 6A this past October at 55 yards with a 870 youth full choke 20 gauge. One single B.B. hit it in the eye and thats all it took. Those are great patterns!
1uglydude Report post Posted April 9, 2018 I think it's funny that a hit to the beard puts off a red color, just like a hit to the spine or head. Didn't realize that a pellet to the beard was a lethal shot.
roninflag Report post Posted April 28, 2018 some great patterns; my 12 and 20 do not do as well. 40 and 36 yards max respectively. I think so hunter would be surprised at their patterns if they shot some.
