bigj23 Report post Posted March 14, 2018 No. Last month it took over 20lbs for five fish to get a check. Lake was on fire. Have a tournament there in the beginning of April, so it could be rough.

CatfishKev Report post Posted March 14, 2018 What's the deal with Alamo. Why are they taking water out?
Ohthatguy Report post Posted March 14, 2018 Why are they taking water out? Basically a bunch of dam maintenance. Flushing out silt and lowering the water level so the divers can inspect some stuff that hasn't been looked at for many years. As to how low will it go? They initially wanted to lower it about 35' but the more recent target stated was 1100' which would be around 10'. But we'll just have to see where it actually stops. Roosevelt Mark Report post Posted March 15, 2018 They own the damm, same with srp. They could care less about the fishing or other recreation. They're going to do whatever they want when they want.
trphyhntr Report post Posted March 15, 2018 Always wondered why I'm paying azgfd to fish in lakes owned by srp?
CouesPursuit Report post Posted March 15, 2018 US Bureau of Reclamation owns the dams. SRP operates the dams. US Forest Service or other land management agency manages the land/water. AZGFD manages the fish and wildlife for the state.
