dbov245 Report post Posted March 15, 2018 Hello all, my name is dave. I drew late elk unit #9. I have never hunted az elk, only Colorado. I plan to make several scouting trips. I plan to have a couple of plans in place for shifting weather patterns. My map recon shows 9 to be big and flat (so glassing will be a challenge) Any incite would be greatly appreciated. My guess is the bulls will be tight in the draws/canyons. hitting the water in the late eve, and at night. thanks Dave

hoghntr Report post Posted March 19, 2018 Well I guess I need to offer a "you were correct " to bonecollector777. This ole man drew a unit 8 archery bull elk tag. Took 7 yrs. Just hoping a mature bull gives me an opportunity Careful Gary them unit 8 bulls don't like ponytails!

Late rifle is tough there if it snows so be prepared. Awesome unit though I hunted it last year for early archery bull.
knothead Report post Posted March 22, 2018 Been two weeks since portal account holders could look up results and BP's but still not available to non-portal folks. This seems silly to me.
Flatlander Report post Posted March 22, 2018 Been two weeks since portal account holders could look up results and BP's but still not available to non-portal folks. This seems silly to me. They stated before the draw the portal would be the only online way to see results. Phone results have been posted since the day portals were updated.
