Stock pack

Ive got a gamescout stock and with a 50mm scope Ive got to where I cant stand it for shooting prone, which is about the only way I ever shoot. Any recommendations out there for stock packs that I can shim that will allow me to hold a spare magazine in as well? Preferably as light as possible. Thanks

Ive got a couple and theyre great to get your eye where it needs to be. First is a Triad Tactical in coyote brown. It comes with some Velcro strip inserts to add and shim as needed. It weighs in at 6.0 oz.

 

The next in Black is a Tac-Ops that a gunsmith in Tucson put together for me and was very reasonable. It included drilling the stock, installing some aluminum ferrules, a kydex riser and the stock pack. The whole assembly weighs in at 8.6 oz.but the pack itself with 2 velcro strips weighs 5.8oz. And would be around 6oz. If all strips were included. Both zippered pockets have a fair amount of room. Ill store earplugs, suppressor paperwork, and brake with room for other small things if needed.

 

I like both packs, but probably like the Triad Tactical the best and has better padding and very comfortable on the cheek bone.

I bought the Triad pack, their basic model with no pouch or shell holders, and picked up the accessories build up kit for it as well. Haven't put scope on yet to see fit but that should happen in the next few weeks.

I have 4 of the TacOps packs. I build up with some non-slip tool box drawer liners to raise the comb.

Man I really like that stock

I raised my stock pack with foam pipe insulation...the grey tube stuff. It is easy to shape with scissors. I wrap it/stock with the camo cling tape and put the pack over the top.
