jmwhitehunter Report post Posted December 26, 2007 I am a frequent visitor to this sight but I don't make to many posts. On November 14, 2007 I set out to a new spot in Unit 21. I had found a little spring and set up a trail cam. I returned 3 weeks later to find my camera missing. I was so pumped on what my camera might have on it that I almost cried when I realized it was gone. I can always replace the camera, it was only $100.00 with a $30.00 memory card. What I can't replace is the valuable scouting info gathered from that camera before we had those winter rains in December. I'm going to assume it was a disgruntled hunter who was upset I was in "HIS" area, or maybe someone just wanted to snag up an easy find. I have seen numerous cameras in my trips outdoors and I have always obeyed the unwritten code of respecting other hunter's property. What is this world coming to when hunters, who have this common bond, are stealing from each other. Thanks for letting me vent and if anyone has any info on this please let me know. Call me at (623) 910-3628.

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted December 26, 2007 I am hearing about a lot of cameras lately being stolen. Everyone is so quick to blame it on another hunter. that may be the case but think about all the nonhunters that hike the hills that may have taken your camera just to be an a$$ hole or maybe someone who doesnt know any better that may have seen it there and said hey wow look at what someone forgot I am taking this. Just something to think about.
SouthernCouesHunter Report post Posted December 27, 2007 Sorry for your loss. Fortunately I haven't been subjected to getting any of my cameras stolen and I am appreciative of that. However, I do suggest trying to secure the camera to the tree with a big chain so then the person(s) that want to steal it will have to think long and hard as to if they want to carry a huge pair of bolt cutters with them for 2 miles in and 2 miles out to cut it off the tree. I guess that if they want it that bad then there is nothing that can be done to stop them. Again, sorry for your loss.
11hunter11 Report post Posted December 27, 2007 Sorry to here that man, This just happend to my buddy in 23. He showed a hunter he just met some cam pics that he had, he believed that guy saw his truck parked on the side of the road and went back after he was gone and took his cam, left his stand but took the cam. Really sad another hunter would do that. My buddy said his name might be "Loui", he was camped in 23 on the saturday the 22nd with a red dodge 4 door truck and another blue ford 4 door deisle truck, he said he lives by the white tanks on olive street. This was the only guy that could have done this.
