ThomC Report post Posted March 2, 2018 Sec #8 Severability The whole amendment is unconstitutional. The word assault should be defined as the intent of the person. Otherwise we must add an assault pencil. How about the assault on our second amendment. My amendment No government official or other persons shall attempt to change, alter circumvent, or modify the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES in any way, shape, or form without the vote of 100% of the people. An assault on the second amendment will be a felony. Anyone found guilty of the assault on the second amendment will be interned in Guantanamo Bay for a period of not less than their natural life. All members of congress will be required to be under oath at all times while serving their two terms in office. Speaking of changing the Constitution of the United States is an act of treason by officials of all forms of government. Even the Board of Supervisors of Pima County. Even the TUSD board. Even the Tucson City Council.
Red Sparky Report post Posted March 2, 2018 I know why I don't shop at Dick's Sporting goods. I thought Sportsman's Warehouse still sold them. Besides "assault weapon" is a bs term that doesn't exist, the media made it up. Assault weapon is likely a variant to assault rifle, made up by the media. Assault rifle is a term from a DOD contract for an infantry weapon capable of selective fire, semi-auto and full auto, and firing an intermediate powered cartridge. The media likes to throw this term around to describe semi-auto only rifles even though a specification for an assault rifle per the government contract to produce them was full auto capability. The media seems to prefer running their mouths to doing their homework. The better variant would be anti-assault weapon or rifle. Because if I am being assaulted with deadly force I am using mine to stop the assault. All the Mauser 1898's my BIL had were technically "assault" weapons because they were used by military forces. That being said they are all bolt actions, with magazines less than 10 rounds.
208muley Report post Posted March 2, 2018 Honestly who cares. They are a private business so they can do what they want. But so can the consumer. I get the vast majority of my hunting/fishing/guns/archery etc from smaller businesses anyways or direct from the manufacturer. Dicks doesn't want to sell guns..... A baker down the street doesn't make gay cakes...... Who cares.. Shop somewhere else
