CatfishKev Report post Posted January 30, 2018 My buddy shipped a brand new bow back east to his brother. He pulled it back to test the weight and it locked up at full draw. It's under warranty and all I'm just curious if anyone has any ideas.

HUNTnTAT2 Report post Posted January 30, 2018 Must of been a new PSE Evolve. The bow basically holds itself at full draw with 90% let off...... 😉👍
AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted January 30, 2018 My recurve has never had that problem....lol Seriously though that is crazy.
down2hunt Report post Posted January 30, 2018 Yup, had that happen to me at an archery shop (that I will not mention) but I was getting my new bow adjusted to my arm length and it locked up at full draw!!! Just like Shrek said, draw stops set incorrectly!!!
WHT_MTNMAN Report post Posted January 30, 2018 +1 on draw stops either not put in correctly or forgot to put back in at all after an adjustment. Some have to be taken off to press the bow.

hoghntr Report post Posted February 14, 2018 Thats probably what it is. Thanks.Draw stops. It's also freaking dangerous! Bow manufactures say if it happens throw bow forward away from body. I chose to walk into shop from range and climb on chair with bow drawn and put in press while they pressed it.. I have never been so tired form pulling back zero weight cuz I pulled it like freakin hulk believe you me! Should have seen the people scattering when no walked past them 😂 I do not go to that shop anymore they almost did it a second time to me.
