Red Rabbit Report post Posted January 28, 2018 Came across this website that shows the performance of various bullets on game. Figured some of this info may be of interest in choosing bullets or ammo. https://www.ballisticstudies.com/Knowledgebase.html click on "wound research" on the 2nd header
ThomC Report post Posted January 28, 2018 Seems like a good resource for rifle hunters. I spent a good amount of time reading, and will bookmark it for later. Thanks
singleshot Report post Posted January 28, 2018 They have a lot of good information on their site. And real world research to back it up. It seems most of the field research comes out of New Zealand where they do a ton of cull hunting on pigs and wild goats. Being a Hornady fan, and based on their recommendation for the best all around performer in 7mm Remington magnum, I started shooting the 162 grain SST. I had been shooting the 154 SST, and 168BHVLD previously. The 162 SST sure did a number on my last bull at 400+ yards and the shot was far from "stellar".
