TAM Report post Posted December 17, 2007 That's a nice buck! I've liked him since the first time I ever watched him fight. I sure hope he puts a whoppin on GSP here in a couple weeks! Not to hijack your thread, but did you see Jens Pulver choke out Cub Swanson in his first WEC fight? I thought it would at least be a close evenly matched fight!!! I hope to see Pulver fight Faber for the title in the next few months. Faber is very talented, but I think Jens is much more experienced and may be the one to knock him off the top. BJ and Joe stevenson are fighting for the title now because the muscle shark tested pos for something. Yes i hope Matt puts the hurt on GSP as well. and then when Matt S thinks he is man enough to fight Matt H he can put the big hurt on Matt S. TAM Report post Posted December 18, 2007 I believe Chuck will be 38 before his next fight. I like like his raw style, but I don't think he has what it takes to work his way back up again. There are to many young tough guys to get through and I certainly don't see him taking the belt from Jackson if there ever was a third fight. You never know though...... look at Randy??? Unfortunatly Matt is in the same "old" boat as Chuck. If he looses to GSP again I see his career slipping away, and he may not ever get the chance to shut Serra's loud mouth. If he beats GSP, I'll bet he beats Serra in the spring and then goes on to get his title back for awhile. Either way he's still a stud! Coues Sniper Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Nice to see some other MMA fans on here! I like Pulver, but i think Faber would destroy him. Pulver did choke Swanson out in 35 seconds, but i don't know... he telegraphed that shot for forever. No set-up whatsoever. I would have liked to see the fight go on for a little while. Faber is almost too confident and aggressive though, Pulver might get lucky and take advantage. The Hughes/Serra fight HAS to happen though after all the talking that has been going on. I'll just be glad to watch a fight that Serra isn't cornering! If i have to hear "atta boy, goooood, what did we talk about here Drago???" one more time... COUESAZ Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Huges and GSP are fighting a title fight. I am not sure what they are calling it but it is a 5 round fight for a title. I am not sure if it is the real title. Matt told Dana that it is not fair for a champ to hold the title behind an injury, When it may be a full year before that champ can defend that so said title. I just ordered the ne book Matt and some one else just wrote it is hi biography. I look up to Matt for the drive and the family background more than the fact that he is the most dominate champion. I have sent him an invite to come for a full guided hunt here in AZ if he ever draws a tag. Even on his blog i posted an invite for him to come hunt Coues deer. So yes Coues is now on his blog. BJ Penn will be the next champ in that weight class. I do not think stevenson is even close to the same caliber that penn is. Jackson and Griffen are the coaches for the next season of the TUF show and they will contend for the title at the end of that show. That will be one heck of a fight. I'm not a Forrest Griffen fan at all!!! I think he's a tuff dude and works hard, but he's nothing more than a whoppin boy in my opinion. I just don't think he's got real great skills. I think Jackson will destroy him. I think Chuck would destroy him. I'd rather see Keith Jardine in there than Griffen. JMO I think Pulver is next in line for Faber and that they're supposed to be fighting in three months. Should be a good fight!
