dse Report post Posted January 9, 2018 The psi you will need will mostly depend on the type of soil in your base. 4" of 2500 psi and a 4' grid of #4 rebar would be fine if the soil is extremely stable, non expansive, and compacted well. If your soil is expansive 6" of 5000 psi with a 12" grid of rebar would likely not be enough unless you do some pad prep. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
