Anyone Heard From The Super 80

Heard through the grapevine he missed a nice buck opening day at 200yds!

Must not of had his truck to use as a rest.

He texted me friday, his dad got a nice buck and yes he did miss. I am sure we will hear his excuses on why he missed when he gets back. lol

yeah, i got one. not 100". thought he was bigger. ground shrinkage. aint a story i want to say becuase it makes me sick. not cause of the size of the deer, but the rest of the story. he would go about 93"

 

Brian, scott and those who know the story lets just leave it at this for a little while alright? Im pretty upset about the deal and im not ready for the ribbin im gonna get.

 

 

PS, dad killed about a 88-90 inch buck opening evening. one shot at 531 yds.

 

 

yes i missed a nice buck opening day. flat out missed. cake shot, 220 yds broadside. missed. happens to the best of us.

I think you underestimate most of the guys around here, and i can guarantee whatever happened to you has happened to alot of us on here (or worse!). I'm curious as heck, but respect that fact that you don't want to share. Sorry to hear that your hunt didn't turn out the way you wanted, but hope you at least had a good time. Good luck in the future man.

over scored the buck. shot him in his bed at 360 yds. went over to where he was to finish him.

 

 

 

shot him in the head, blew off one side of his antler and busted about 4 inches off of it.

 

 

A. shot a buck smaller than i wanted.

B. Shot him in the head ( and i didnt even need to shoot)

 

 

but on the plus side. I got to do it all infront of a absoulete coues hunting legend, the best coues hunter in the world. the buck is still the biggest buck i have ever killed.

Hey man, it happens to the best of us. Everyone on here who's shot more than one Coues deer has misjudged a buck. I'm certain of that. As far as damaging the horns, they can always be repaired, and I'm sure that you were just trying to put the deer out of his misery. Don't let that ruin what otherwise sounds like a great hunt. And how can you be upset if you killed your biggest buck yet!?!
