ctafoya Report post Posted December 29, 2017 So i am having an issue locating a modified case for 6.5. I have some new brass ready to load, and a box im going to shoot just to get the rifle sighted in. I was going to just make my own as i have the tolls to do it. Should i use a new unfired case, or a once fired?
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted December 30, 2017 Once fired case, then thread it to accept your gauge stick. Open up the mouth to let the bullet slide. I had to make one for my 6.5-06AI
10Turkeys Report post Posted December 30, 2017 Ditto to what Muledeerarea33? said, the case will be the correct headspace. If its a factory barrel a bullet might slide right into the casemouth after firing it, if it's Got a tighter throat you might have to open it up a little.
