archery_hunter33 Report post Posted December 28, 2017 After Hunting every chance she could my wife’s determination pays off. She had an emotional year of hunting and even wanted to quit altogether. We found this buck on 19 December and after a failed stalk we tried again the next day. We found him and two of his friends at 8:30am and waited for him to bed down. We closed the distance from 800 to 337 yards. She made an awesome shot with her 243 and he never got out of that bed. I didn't want to drag him out over all the rocks so I took a page out of Cameron Hanes book and had to 'Cam' him out. 23 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I know some people would have taken the shot him at 800 yards. In my opinion if you cant get within 400 yards to your target you shouldn't take a shot.
