ctafoya Report post Posted December 21, 2017 So i was down at sportsmans yesterday finishing up ome shopping, and that included a rifle. After waiting what seemed longer then usual, my background check came back delayed. Dude at the counter said they would call me in three days to come pick it up. Never had this happen to me. The only thing i can think of is Im undergoing another background check for TSA for precheck. This ever happen to anyone? Hopefuly this gets cleared up soon so i can get all the goodies wrapped and under the tree in time. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Hoss50 Report post Posted December 21, 2017 Time to get your CCW. Getting delayed isn't uncommon especially if you don't provide a SSN on the form. 10Turkeys Report post Posted December 21, 2017 Could be anything. Happened once to me, at Brunos, they run you there CCW (which I have) or not, came back delay. I was told that they have three days to allow or deny, if nothing is said within three days the business can turn it over to you. After two days I got a call that I could pick up the rifle. el diablo Report post Posted December 22, 2017 Used to happen to me every time for yrs. The only explanation I ever got that made sense was maybe cuz I was born out of the country. I finally just went and got my CCW again just to avoid it. Never a problem since. If Brunos was oulling thelat BS Id take my business elsewhere. Who the F are they to implement their own rules. Red Sparky Report post Posted December 22, 2017 I haven't been delayed or denied but here is what happened when I picked up my 6.5 Creedmoor on Monday. I have never gone by my first name I have always gone by my middle name. My drivers license has first initial and middle name. Now when I bought my house, got my CCW license and all FFL checks I have to use my full legal name. Something about the feds don't recognize your middle name as your legal name. My signature is always my first initial and middle name. So I used my full name and the clerk says I am going to have to redo the paperwork because my drivers license doesn't have my first name on it, just an initial. So I pulled out my passport card, the one about the size of a DL and not the whole book, and my CCW license that has my full name and pictures on both.
