10Turkeys Report post Posted December 18, 2017 Getting ready to put some loads together for my buds 7mm Rem Mag. About 8-15 thousands off the lands with these bullets also? I have no experience with these bullets.
10Turkeys Report post Posted December 20, 2017 Called Hornady today, was told to load them 10-30 thousands off the lands. I noticed when I was opening the box, it states 1-10 twist on the bottom of the box. Other than a custom barrel, who has a 10 twist in a factory rifle? Red Rabbit Report post Posted December 20, 2017 Remington twists their 7mm-08 and 7mm Rem Mag at 1 in 9.25", which should stabilize that eldx fine. Winchester uses 1 in 9.5
ofdscooby Report post Posted December 20, 2017 The twist rate shown on most bullet boxes are minimums
lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 20, 2017 1:10" is the recommended MINIMUM twist rate. A 1:8" to 1:10" will spin them just fine. Should get some good speed out of the 150s.
10Turkeys Report post Posted December 21, 2017 Shot it yesterday, good out to 500m.

10Turkeys Report post Posted December 23, 2017 No chrono. Hornady recommended 10-30 thousands off lands, went with 15, shot real good out of a bone stock factory rifle.
