Hanksaiditbest Report post Posted December 10, 2017 Looking to purchase a long-range rifle in either 7mm or 300RUM. Willing to put in trigger work and muzzle break but would like something as "out of the box" ready as possible. I have been considering the Remington Model 700 Long Range, Browning x-bolt hells canyon Long Range. Willing to entertain any recommendations or tips. Any insight out there?? lancetkenyon Report post Posted December 10, 2017 Honestly, as much as I dislike Savage rifles for the fit and feel, the 111 LRH (Long Range Hunter) is an amazing shooting rifle. I have shot behind several, and all are top notch in the accuracy department. Being a Remington fanboy, hard to beat a Sendero or 700 LR too.

creed_az_88 Report post Posted December 10, 2017 Tikka seems to have a pretty solid reputation. The new bergara rifles have caught my eye.
duckhunter175 Report post Posted December 10, 2017 x2 on Savage LRH First 'long range' rifle I ever bought was a Savage 111LRH in 6.5x284--- fantastic rifles--- no need for extra $$ on bedding, trigger, muzzle brake. I believe they are offered in 7mm Rem Mag and 300win mag but not the RUM cartridges. Hard to beat them for the money!
