CATERPILLAR Report post Posted December 8, 2017 I have pictures of a lion on my camera and three days later I have a picture of a hound with all the gear on him/her following the same tracks as the lion walked. Just wondering how many days can go by and the dogs still find sent. I don't believe the lion was killed because I have pics of the same lion going back the other way a few days later. Shedhunteraz Report post Posted December 8, 2017 Depends on alot of things. Mostly weather conditions and terrain . Heat and moisture tend to rise the sent faster. A good hound that wont get caught up on trash can run a good three day old track and actually tree it. Only know of one gentlemen that has dogs that good.
