willhunt4coues Report post Posted December 10, 2007 HEY I JUST BOUGHT ONE 1 MONTH BEFORE MY NOVEMBER DEER HUNT. I TOOK OFF THE STOCK SCOPE AND PUT ON A NIKON BUCKMASTERS 4.5-14 X 40. THE SCOPE THAT COME ON THE GUN IS OKAY BUT I HAD ALREADY HAD THAT ONE SO I USED IT. LET ME TELL YOU THAT IS ONE GREAT GUN FOR THE MONEY. OUT OF THE BOX JUST WENT AND SHOT IT AT 100 YARDS AND THAT SUCKER WAS ONLY 2 INCHES TO THE RIGHT OF WHERE I WAS AIMMING. GET THE GUN YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. tommat Report post Posted December 10, 2007 I have a Rem 710. It is a generation before the 770. I have been very happy with it. I have it in .270 cal. I am planning on purchasing a 770 in .243 youth for my youngest when he turns 10. My 710 shoots great groups....The Bushnell scope it came with was alright..I put it on my .06 and put a better one on the remington.....don't know what they changed when they dropped the 710 and went to the 770 though. Where are you a fireman? Here in Tucson??
