Northern Pintail Report post Posted December 21, 2017 What Hopi hunts are you talking about? They are listed in the Elk Regs.
Northern Pintail Report post Posted December 21, 2017 You know you can hunt the entire unit on that hunt and not just Hopi land right? AZGFD gives a certain number of tags to the Hopi's so that normal hunters (mainly pronghorn hunters) have access to their lands in 4A. But you have to get that tag in the left overs unless you are Hopi
bonecollector777 Report post Posted December 21, 2017 You guys better stop talking about 4B or someone is liable to slap you on the wrist. Only locals are allowed to hunt that unit. And there are no deer there, so dont ask . . .. Finally catching on. About time.
azelkhunter69 Report post Posted December 23, 2017 My buddy at work shot his cow Monday morning. Hiked around and checked water tanks, etc the 1st couple days and then figured out a spot he wanted to hunt. Sitting in his camp on his tailgate drinking coffee waiting for it to get light and just as it starts to, he grabs his binoculars and starts glassing. Sees three cows walking towards a canyon, grabs his rifle, lays down and boom. Less than 300 yards from his camp. Just as papajohn said, he was able to drive right up to it.
