HuntHarder Report post Posted December 2, 2017 I always love these questions. Most guys will say the long bow deer, but they are only lying to themselves. haha
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Looking forward to results of this one! Were assuming both options are kill shots right? Both are great trophies.
Shedhunteraz Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Long range rifle and optics has ruined hunting. Period
idgaf Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Looking forward to results of this one! Were assuming both options are kill shots right? Both are great trophies. yep both end with the same killing shot. trying to keep it as unbiased as possible with all the factors being the same
stanley Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Ugh...... Sorry man, just can't take the bait! lol I could argue both ways! Â They would both be amazing trophies, as long as I was over my son or daughter's shoulder when they made the shot!! Â S. Â PS: I guess I will take the bait. I'm such a poor long range shot and horrible archery hunter, either one would be a miracle. I'm thinking a BIG coues would be pretty amazing though, so I'll hit the long range shot button!
COA Report post Posted December 2, 2017 I've done both. 😂 Do I win anything??
Kingzero Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Neither. A 1000 yard shot on a coyote would be a trophy to me.
25-06 Report post Posted December 2, 2017 If I had a 120 inch coues and your typical 70 pound desert cat in the same scope. I would shoot the cat. That's a trophy.
COA Report post Posted December 2, 2017 I'll take a 30 yd archery shot on a coyote with a dull broad head. That is not an easy task
idgaf Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Neither. A 1000 yard shot on a coyote would be a trophy to me. and ADHD takes over...
Kingzero Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Â Â Neither. A 1000 yard shot on a coyote would be a trophy to me. and ADHD takes over...Nope, your choices are just narrow minded. If I had to choose it would be the deer with the rifle. I wouldn't shoot a forky.
BOWUNTR Report post Posted December 2, 2017 I've never shot anything with a rifle... to each his own. Divisive question... nothing good can come out of it. Ed F

This was not intended for you to give your view on great shots. you can create your own poll for that.
mattys281 Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Kinda tough question for me. The long rifle shot is a testament of marksmanship, but not so much hunting skill. The chip shot on the coues is a testament of bow hunting sneakiness etc, but not a tough shot even for trad gear.  I’m going with the bow shot, because I think there’s many fewer that are able to accomplish that than the long range shot with a high dollar rifle, ballistic computer, etc.
