You can't get tags in the western Badlands unless You have several Points. What is it Yote like 10 for gaurentee.....BOB!

You can get OTC archery tags that go from sept 1 to jan 7. Rifle has always been every 2-4 years but now takes 5-8 for muley buck. Rifle whitetail tags can be had every year to every few depending on the unit. No guaranteed pool in the draw but they square bonus points so after you get up there your odds go up dramatically. I drew rifle muley last year and killed a 175 buck and drew a rifle whitey tag this year and shot a giant 190 buck. You can have rifle, archery and muzzleloader all in the same year if you are lucky enough to draw rifle and muzzy and buy a bow tag otc and can kill all three deer.
