azhuntnut Report post Posted November 25, 2017 I recently completed a build with my son for his upcoming deer hunt. We used an older model (pre accutrigger) Savage model 10 Tactical chambered in Rem .260 with a 24 inch bull barrel that I bought from one of our members. It already had a nice trigger job done to it. We painted it with a dark grey and then put a light layer of burnt bronze on top in a squared pattern. I have never tried a tactical handle before, so this is a new one for us. The chassis is made by MDT and accepts AICS mags. We also used a stock form MDT that is fully adjustable. Together they only weigh about 3 pounds. Its mounted on the tripod using our LOC JAW mount. We loaded up some Berger 130 grain Hybrids and will give them a try Sunday morning. We are both happy they way it turned out and cant wait to use it on his December hunt. HuntHarder Report post Posted November 25, 2017 Rifle looks great, I am really doing a great job of resisting a chassis rifle right now with all the black friday discounts. Nice looking rifle.

azhuntnut Report post Posted November 29, 2017 Finally got the chance to shoot it today. My first handload I tried was touching. I used 42 grains of H4350 topped with Berger 130g Hybrids. Primers are BR2 and coal is 2.856. Im still gonna try some RL26 just to see how it shoots. David
azhuntnut Report post Posted December 1, 2017 I took my son out to get him some time behind the gun. His first shot was high, but then he started to settle down. This is his first seven shots with the rifle. The cluster on the left is four shots. I just cant believe how well the rifle shoots. Its just as accurate as my full custom that I spent a lot more on. This was 100 yards. David
