Flash Report post Posted December 7, 2007 Heading out to help out a buddy for a few days of his upcoming hunt. Never been in 36c, any ideas where to start? Hoping to find a nice gassing spot. coueshunter Report post Posted December 16, 2007 Flash, there is tons of access down the 286. Santa Margarita ranch has alot of great country and good glassing spots around it. My advice would be to get down 286 farther than the majority of hunters that hunt around Elkhorn ranch, and then find a road like Santa margarita and hike in at least 1/2 mile. The deer are there but your biggest battle will be all the people.
