Flatlander Report post Posted November 19, 2017 And changed the format. Pretty much just being treated as its own unit with pretty typical management.
Zeke-BE Report post Posted November 19, 2017 If your for and against youth hunts it really doesn't matter. What matters is that you take your kids out hunting. If you don't get drawn, you can take them squirrel hunting (my first hunt and I was so excited and remember really well even today) rabbit hunting,DOVE, and I loved quail hunting with my dad and brothers as a kid. If you only take the pure excitement of a hunt for a kid the thrill shooting my first squirrel age 11 was the same feeling when I shot my first deer at age 16!! Just a different story with a bigger animal. The point is youth hunts are not the only way to attract kids to hunting! They are more like the parent living through their kids at their football game making more about them (the parents) then letting the kids have fun playing. Doesn't mean Im against the youth hunts because in 2020 hunting season Im putting my daughter in the youth hunts.( and yes Ill be living through her hunt that I never had at her age) If they are there Ill take full advantage of youth hunts. But this January Im taking my daughter quail hunting and yote hunting (she keeps asking to go) ---Conclusion, if they don't know any better they will love being out there with you regardless what you are hunting!
mikaele Report post Posted November 20, 2017 Is that a typo on the 2019 3A/C archery bull elk?
Northern Pintail Report post Posted November 20, 2017 Nope. They have been putting the rifle hunt before the archery hunt in one unit every year for a couple years now.

Jeff On the very front page that comes up when you go to azgfd.com you will see a section labeled News. At the bottom of that section it will say, read more news. Just click on the read more news and you will find the 2018-2019 hunt recommendations in that.
