kcw Report post Posted December 6, 2007 This is my first post to this wonderful site. I have been a daily viewer for many years and have finally decided to get in the mix. Like the rest of you I am addicted to hunting these amazing deer. I have been hunting them for the past 20 years with varying success. I grew up hunting mule deer (karps) and was introduced to coues when my hunting partner for the last 30 years killed an amazing 123" coues and had it mounted. After seeing it I knew I had to have one of my own. Little did I know how difficult a task that would be. It took me 10 years to get the first one. This year I finally broke the 100" mark. This buck was shot in unit 35A on the october hunt. The horns are dark because he had not rubbed them clean. The one picture shows what they looked like after removing the remaining velvet. Glad to finally be a member.
