BlairHunter Report post Posted November 8, 2017 I thought I would share my 2nd bear I've been fortunate to harvest in unit 27. I went on a deer hunt with my good friend and he tagged out opening morning so I decided to hunt bear that afternoon and Saturday morning before I had to head home to watch my son's high school football game. My brother had spotted a bear about a mile and a half eating some juniper berries so I took off before he dropped into a nasty canyon to bed. I got directly across the canyon from him and he walked directly across from me. I laid down on some rocks and drilled him at about 350 yards. This 10-11 year old boar took 4 hits from my 30-06 before finally giving up.
