rkv09 Report post Posted November 6, 2017 After arriving an hour late to the trailhead, thanks to daylight savings, I got up to my glassing point after sunrise. I was a little disappointed in getting there late but I started glassing and after ten minutes I spotted this buck at 1635 yards. There was a ridge between us at 1300 and I figured if I could get there I could seal the deal. I knew it was a long shot but I was hoping the buck would bed since he was hanging out by some bushes. I headed down to him as fast as I could and when I got to the ridge and peeked over he was bedded at 240 yards. I got set up prone and one shot with a 6.5 SAUM with 143 eldx he never got out of his bed.
