Monkey butt powder.

Recommended Posts

Have you ever seen those cans of monkey butt powder that some motorcycle and ATV shops have? It's supposed to make your rear end feel better after you've been riding too long. Does anybody make something like that for your eyes after you've been glassing too long?

Usually for a chafe but crack!!!! Go down to the sports store Dick's and get BodyGlide. Its a blue deodorant stick looking thing. Put it anywhere where it chafes. Im in construction and during the summers I had to use baby-powder and had to re apply like 3 times in a day. This BodyGlide will last all day. Marathon runners and bicyclist like it. I use it for work he he

I think better glass, and a solid mount are the only things that help with that

^^^ this right here, I had switched over to Swaros and fixed the problem

It's not a glass or mount issue. I have always put the eye cups of binoculars lightly in contact with the area around my eyes. For some reason it's a habit I can't seem to break. After 3 days straight my eyes are sore again. Zeke-Be is on the right track.

Never had a eye cup to eyelid contact chafe issue, my only thought is, a product that is slick and petroleum based or some other slippery solution, has to attract dirt. Technically your crotch area should be free of dirt.... hopefully, so a petroleum based product would be fine. But if dirt sticks to your eye cups, and make contact with your eyelids, thats really going to chafe. I would probably try a few product and see what doesnt attract dirt.

I have tried a number of things over the years. They have either attracted dirt or caused irritation if they get in the eye. Hopefully I can find something that doesn't do either of those.

This guy and gal that I know went down to Louisiana during the worst possible heat and humidity, when they came back, they were calling each other Beaudroux, so I ask what that meant, I was told that is was kinda like deodorant for your butt crack that they sell there. Oddly enough I was in a Drugstore in Tombstone, and they were selling it. Don't know if it would work around the eyes though.
