97 Suburban $1500 obo

Recommended Posts

1997 Chevrolet Suburban, 4x4, K2500, 5.7 Liter, 235,xxx miles. Very reliable and strong running Suburban. I am looking for $1500 or best offer. Call or text Daryl 48o-5oo-6545. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I am in Queen Creek near Power/Germann. I will add pictures to the post in a few hours. I have notarized title in hand.

Good:

  • Leaks a little oil, not enough to worry about, but it will leave a spot where it is parked. I never have to worry about adding oil in between oil changes.
· This vehicle knows 36C like the back of its hand and will probably drive you straight to the biggest coues in the unit.

· Runs and drives great, very reliable. I was just in the Richmond Basin area in 24A scouting with this vehicle last week. In the Spring took family to Rocky Point, no issues at all. This is the vehicle I was planning on using for my coues hunt Dec 1st.

· New tires at 220,000

· Newer Power steering pump and hoses.

· Newer Radiator

· At 230,000 miles lots of suspension work done: Steering damper and gear box, 1 idler arm, 1 pitman arm, 1 stabilizer shock, 4 shocks, Pins and bushings, 1 spring, 2 upper control arms with ball joints. All this work, including power steering and radiator done by Randys Transmission in Mesa.

· All power windows and door locks work.

Bad:

· Has front and rear AC, but it no longer blows cold. Needs new compressor.

· Front windshield has a crack in it, it is on the passenger side up high.

· Cosmetic, paint fading/peeling on hood

· I have had some issues with getting the back door to lock from time to time. It opens and closes fine, but I think a new latch will fix the locking problem.

· One of the middle row seat belts is stuck, cant be used.

· Interior seats are a little on the rough side, kind of what I would imagine from a 20 year old vehicle that has hauled countless amounts of hunting gear and game animals J

I will go over everything in detail with anyone who is interested and looks at the vehicle. I believe in being honest, and I am not trying to hide anything. This vehicle is very capable and reliable enough to be a daily driver, if thats what youre looking for.

Also forgot: passenger side front door doesn't open from the inside, you have to roll down the window and open it. Also, new front rotors and brake pads at 226,000 miles.

Oriellys has door latches in stock. These are easy to change out. Pop the door trim off, drill out 1 rivet R&R handle. Handle is made of pot metal.
