Tac Report post Posted November 1, 2017 did you have the transmission o-hauled? why do you need to back it off?
azbirdhunter88 Report post Posted November 2, 2017 I had dodge put a new one in 2 months ago. Long story short I've been back and forth there and now on my 5th valve body. So they say. Prob is a hard 2-1 downshift. Too much line pressure I think and need it backed off a little. I'm a dumb farmer and don't work on trucks.
TexasHunter Report post Posted November 2, 2017 it's prolly not the tv cable it has other issues usually. Do you have a shuttle shift too? I would put in an Allison pressure control solenoid and a new pressure sensor.
azbirdhunter88 Report post Posted November 2, 2017 No shuttle shift at all. I use to but no more. Up shifts are all perfect. Only prob is 2-1 downshift clunk.

Tac Report post Posted November 2, 2017 If you have a aftermarket transmission shop try to get one to adjust it. What year is it? In 2005 06 they went to a tv motor controlled by the computer. They are known to need to be replaced when trans fails if it is earlier should be a cable. After having the valve body replaced that many times I would think it is adjustment or bad tv motor.
