muledeerarea33? Report post Posted November 3, 2017 The wife juggles it all at camp.. usually 3 dutch ovens and a 2 burner coleman. That thing is ancient too.. my mom had her camp box. Wed have biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and Swiss steak on the sand gill!! The woman could cook any and everything on any pan/flame source!
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted November 3, 2017 My favorite still to this day is orange cakes! Shed half an orange, add orange to some mix and then fill half an orange with mix and wrap it in foil. Wed have orange cakes for dessert!
AZbowhntr Report post Posted November 3, 2017 AZDiamondHeat, I am going to have to call you out. I saw a toy hauler on the side of your house when I was there that would make most of us jealous. Pretty sure you are cooking on a stove inside. I on the other hand am roughing it with a Camp Chef 3 burner with the hinged grill and a griddle like about half the guys in this post. CJNAZ Report post Posted November 3, 2017 Thanks for all of the replies and info. Gotta love the humor that was added too. I've got the camp chef, grill box, and griddle but hardly ever use them because mainly it is just the Mrs. and I or even me by myself on trips. I was thinking about selling the set until I read how passionate some of you are with these items. I believe I will get me a Weber Q2000 because of the size & weight for just 2 people. mbiewer Report post Posted November 7, 2017 Depends on the size of the group. I have a coleman roadtrip lxe. its pretty versatile. Has its own stand. Can get a grate for grilling, and then other accessories include a griddle or a burner plate for it. Plus two pull out shelves. The family didn't like that it took an hour to make breakfast though in the bigger campouts, so I was gifted a Blackstone 28 griddle top. The things pretty amazing. we used it for house parties, camping, even cooking Christmas breakfast for everyone. They sell a grill top for it too.

Doh! um....It is for the wife. Yeah. I sleep in the dirt by the fire like the rest of the real men.....lol But to add my REAL 2 cents: When NOT cooking inside on the stove, I use either a coleman roadtrip lxe or one of those big 2 burner flame throwers with a ginormous grill on it. They both are useful for their purpose.
CJNAZ Report post Posted November 7, 2017 Really appreciated all the feedback and humor. I pulled the trigger on the Weber Q2000 over the weekend and it will be a nice add to my gear. So........keep your eyes peeled on the classified section. As soon as I get some pics taken I am selling my 2 burner grill box with a custom made wooden storage/transport container. The grill is for the 16" (orange flame?) camp chef stoves.
