azhuntnut Report post Posted October 21, 2017 Loading up a .260 for my son and was considering loading the 129s. I also have some 143 eld-xs. Its a 1/8 twist. Im mounting the rifle into a chassis so I will have plenty of length to load them long in the mags I have. Has anybody hunted with this bullet weight out of this similar caliber? I have considered buying a box of the loaded superperformance ammo just to see how they shoot. David
GreyGhost85 Report post Posted October 21, 2017 Great bullets. Not as good of a bc as the eld line but they are a well constructed, good hunting bullet. Killed a few critters with them out of a .264 win mag
10Turkeys Report post Posted October 21, 2017 Couldn't get them to group in a .260 or .270. No hunting experience with them.
Red Rabbit Report post Posted October 21, 2017 I used the 129 SST in a 260 Rem on an antelope in Utah several years ago. Hit him in the spine at 450 yards, so the exit was a little "open".
desertmafia21 Report post Posted October 21, 2017 Both of these were taken using 129sst factory ammo. Looking to add to this next weekend. My savage loves them. Lion went 50 yards then piled up and buck dropped in his tracks
