CouesWhitetail Report post Posted November 29, 2007 Hi All, Many of you know that I lost my beloved dog about 10 months ago. We have finally decided the time was right to get another dog to join the family and to be a friend to our other dog Molly. Someone offered us this golden retriever and we decided to take her. Apparently she is a purebred but somehow flunked hunting school.... Oh well, we don't mind. She seems very smart to us, so I think she will be a great dog. Anyway, she came with the name Baby Ruth because her parents and lineage are named after other types of candy. We aren't so fond of calling her that, so I am looking for a new name. We would kind of like to give her a name with some meaning that matches her personality, but of course we only just got her today, so we don't know her all that well. So far she has impressed us as being VERY quiet. She hasn't made a noise other than panting after running around. Her footsteps are silent and she doesn't whine or bark. Our other dog was barking and making all kinds of noise trying to get her to play, but the new dog is quiet! Anyone know a good name that means "quiet one" or something like that? Or perhaps we could name her after the beautiful color that she is. She is a gorgeous dog and about 10 months old. (interesting...I just realized this dog was born about the same time as my old dog died). here are a couple pics of her (sorry, they aren't the best, but it's raining and not the best day for pics). If you end up posting a name that I decide to use, I will send you a free CouesWhitetail.com tshirt! So what do you think she should be named? here is a link to the page with the tshirts in case you haven't seen them yet: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/tshirts.htm Amanda
