Ed67 Report post Posted October 20, 2017 Drew that hunt 20 years ago, never stepped foot in the unit, camped at the bottom and climbed to the top of KA Hill opening morning. I shot a cow at 20 yards. Some old timer walked up laughing at me because I had a pager on my hip( I used it for time I hate watches). Bulls screaming everywhere.
sandman38y Report post Posted October 20, 2017 Not trying to pour salt in the wound but our camp went 3 for 3 cows on that muzzle loader hunt in 8, first one Friday morning, and then 2 more Saturday afternoon, saw elk every time we went for a walk. I love that hunt

NRS Report post Posted November 5, 2017 Took me an hour and a half to fill my tag Friday morning, then had a herd walk behind my camp while we were cutting it up.
Kingzero Report post Posted November 11, 2017 I had that hunt along with my uncle's buddy last year. I killed the second morning and the other guy killed the second night and we recovered it the third morning. We were in them every day and bumped quite a few when looking for a dead one. I have the late archery bull tag in 8 this year and hope to have simular activity. We will see though.
