dcshorthairs Report post Posted October 7, 2017 Got this picture on one of my cameras today. I know accidents happen, but this animal may not last much longer. Crazy

muledeerarea33? Report post Posted October 8, 2017 That's horrible!! Texas brain shot doesn't work with a bow!
trphyhntr Report post Posted October 8, 2017 There's been a lot of deer and elk killed with a bow shot to the butt cheek.
Flatlander Report post Posted October 8, 2017 Kind of need an angle to expose the femoral artery. I always wondered if one right up the old whazoo would work with a bow. But that one missed both marks. A straight away shot with a bow is not a shot. And even one to the inside of a ham isn't a shot anyone should take except as a follow up.

dcshorthairs Report post Posted October 8, 2017 Here is another shot. I have pictures of this herd of elk for the past month and a half. She just started showing up with that arrow yesterday afternoon.
Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted October 8, 2017 Amazing how much of that arrow is actually buried in that poor critter!
