Feathers

Recommended Posts

Well al long as I can remember I have had a fascination with feathers. As a young boy picking up blue Jay feathers on Mt. Graham to barn owl feathers in the old grain barns around Willcox where I grew up. I had found many owl and hawk feathers over the years but I always wanted to find a turkey feather. Well my kids got on fall break from school and I pulled a few half days at work. Being a single dad I wanted to make the most of every moment. So today we set out for happy valley just to get away from it all and it paid off I was like a fat kid in a candy store. And my son was just as excited as I was. Strange maybe but we made a memory that will last foreverpost-5984-0-51290600-1507161762_thumb.jpgpost-5984-0-62204100-1507161832_thumb.jpg

And on the way out we seen the turkeyspost-5984-0-06227800-1507161903_thumb.jpg now any ideas on what to do with these feathers?

Yep cool stuff that any boys would enjoy. And then the deer hide arrow quiver. Enjoy

I always pick-up feathers, some I hang on my pack, some i weave together and place on a tree branch as "prayer-feathers", a few dozen feathers grace the dashboard of my FJ, and recently, I've been hooking-up one of our clients with any feathers I grab-up at work, (they are authors of ghost/spirit world books/etc and use them as 'dream-catchers"...( a BIG 4x4 Coues visits their property, they are non-hunters, but get great photos from their back-yard...)
