sherman Report post Posted October 5, 2017 Well al long as I can remember I have had a fascination with feathers. As a young boy picking up blue Jay feathers on Mt. Graham to barn owl feathers in the old grain barns around Willcox where I grew up. I had found many owl and hawk feathers over the years but I always wanted to find a turkey feather. Well my kids got on fall break from school and I pulled a few half days at work. Being a single dad I wanted to make the most of every moment. So today we set out for happy valley just to get away from it all and it paid off I was like a fat kid in a candy store. And my son was just as excited as I was. Strange maybe but we made a memory that will last forever And on the way out we seen the turkeys now any ideas on what to do with these feathers?
Allforelk Report post Posted October 5, 2017 Make all the kids quill pens. It might land you a divorce though, proceed with caution.

Guest oneshot Report post Posted October 5, 2017 I always pick-up feathers, some I hang on my pack, some i weave together and place on a tree branch as "prayer-feathers", a few dozen feathers grace the dashboard of my FJ, and recently, I've been hooking-up one of our clients with any feathers I grab-up at work, (they are authors of ghost/spirit world books/etc and use them as 'dream-catchers"...( a BIG 4x4 Coues visits their property, they are non-hunters, but get great photos from their back-yard...)
