youngaz Report post Posted November 28, 2007 This is my 36A Jr hunt buck. It’s a 4X3 muley. I was looking for a Coues buck but found this buck that was wounded in both front legs. We started to glass an area but I decided to look on the other side of the draw and jumped this buck. I could not leave this buck wounded in the hills. He did not want to run so I shot at him at 11 yards. He is a great buck. This is my Dad carrying the buck out After the buck i shot some quail Last night in camp youngaz

mattobertin Report post Posted November 28, 2007 Right on buddy! That is a nice deer and even nicer ethics on your part by taking him instead of something that you were set on! Was he wounded from another hunter, or just some type of injury?

stanley Report post Posted November 28, 2007 WAY TO GO RILEY!!!!! Another one! You're on quite a roll son..... Get this though; I think I know that buck, and I think I might know how it got wounded..... I think Erik and I crossed paths with it on Sunday morning (third day of the hunt...). Sending a PM to you and your dad with details, but let's just say that I'm truly happy you killed that deer! S. PS: I spent Thanksgiving at my sister's house in Flag, and 'Mr. Nabours' says hi! youngaz Report post Posted November 30, 2007 Thanks Guys for the comments! Mattobertin the buck was shot. He was hit in the left foot above the hoof and in the right leg below the shoulder. Firstcoueswas80 we did not take Ppctures of the wound but in the picture with my Dad carrying the buck you can see the broken leg and the blood on the other leg. Lee I said hey for you.
