ASUOutdoorsman Report post Posted September 26, 2017 Any more rumors on an east valley cabelas? I thought I heard something about that. Don't know how true it is but that would definitely be awesome.

Viper Report post Posted September 26, 2017 Old news.. They have been working the deal for quite some time now. Regulators just finally gave them the thumbs up. Right, but I thought originally it was a buy out of Cabelas...changing the name and all. This sounds a little different. Sounds like they're going to keep each identity and branding. I hope they don't change Cabelas too much.

Viper Report post Posted September 26, 2017 Doesn't really matter to me anyhow. I like Sportsmans Warehouse best.
300RUM Report post Posted September 26, 2017 Old news.. They have been working the deal for quite some time now. Regulators just finally gave them the thumbs up. It was on again off again a number of times for a variety of reasons. One had something to do with world's Foremost Bank AKA Cabela's Visa. The on-again off-again cycle caused quite a bit of fluctuation in Cabela's stock. I made a 20% profit in something like 2 months. No complaints here.
1uglydude Report post Posted September 26, 2017 Any more rumors on an east valley cabelas? Never happen unless they put it in Queen Creek. The Town of Gilbert Planning and Zoning Board approved the development plan for the Gilbert Cabelas literally the week before the merger was announced. It was supposed to just south of the San Tan Mall off of Market Street. After the merger was announced, the developer's attorneys said the plan was on hold indefinitely--which is commercial real estate speak for "it's dead." I can't stand Bass Pro. Selection is meh, but the prices absolutely suck.
Hoss50 Report post Posted September 26, 2017 They both suck. I use Cabela's for a few things, but mostly I use them to look at a product to see if I like it, then order it from my LGS or online. If I have to go to a box store sporting goods place and spend money it is Sportsmans.
