AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted September 21, 2017 Probably a stupid question, but is it too late to donate my wife's early archery cow tag now that the hunt is half over? Because of the situation with my Mother we will not be going out.
300RUM Report post Posted September 21, 2017 My partner donated his sheep tag mid hunt. Will send you the number for Hunts for Heroes hunt coordinator
rossislider Report post Posted September 21, 2017 ^^^If anyone knows how to do it, it will be Tom at H4H. This late, I doubt you will get any points back. I think the PointGuard program requires the tag be surrendered prior to the close of business the day prior to opening day of that hunt. But at least a vet would be able to use the tag.
AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted September 21, 2017 I just spoke with Tom. He is coming by today to pick it up. Not worried about points, was just frustrated that it might go to waste. It still might but at least we are trying. Thanks guys.

Edge Report post Posted September 21, 2017 Probably a stupid question, but is it too late to donate my wife's early archery cow tag now that the hunt is half over? Because of the situation with my Mother we will not be going out. Sorry to hear mom's not well. What unit is the tag for?
300RUM Report post Posted September 22, 2017 It is a 4B tag. I'm already in the unit and ready to go if Tom can find a vet. Anyone interested in helping out?
AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted September 22, 2017 I told Tom my trailer and rhino are there available for use as well. I hope someone can use the tag. Thank you for the well wishes Edge.
300RUM Report post Posted September 22, 2017 This thread was started at 10:46 AM yesterday. At 9:47 AM this morning I was on the phone with a veteran from Sierra Vista who Tom had on his way up to meet me. Just before tackling this one he had gotten a unit 1 tag that had been donated the day before reassigned. Now he is working on the 7W tag. Tom busts his butt to get this all done on short notice. If you ever get the chance let Tom, aka Lv2hnt, what an awesome job he does.
Lv2hnt Report post Posted September 23, 2017 NOTE: this was a very last minute opportunity for a disabled vet to go elk hunting! The vet IS mobile; hardware inside his knees slows him down. Lee (300RUM) just texted me that the Hero hunter on the 4B archery cow hunt can now stay through the end of the hunt on Thursday IF, (yes, that reads IF) we can find a volunteer or 2 that could take over for Lee after Sunday (if not tagged out by then). I can have Lee contact you --- I can be reached at my cell: (480)760-3868 ... Much thanks!!!
300RUM Report post Posted September 23, 2017 One thing Tom didn't mention is that he does have a hunter for the 7w tag also. 3 for 3 on filling mid hunt donations in 2 days. Now that is impressive.
