jasons Report post Posted October 8, 2004 i was fortunate enough to draw this unit and was looking for info. anything that could point me in the right direction would be wonderful. i have just finished my elk hunt in unit 34 and now am ready to focus on this hunt. i have heard that there is a lot of private land but will want to focus on the public. mulie or coues makes no difference to me. i will be looking for a good represenative of either species. thanks, jason Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

His service is very reasonable and he can help you out. fatfootdoc Report post Posted October 11, 2004 Jason, Unit 27 is far and away the best unit in NM for numbers of whitetail deer, the terrain is similar to what you would find in the Chiricauhas, the middle of the unit is all national forest and should be free access.
