12 RING Report post Posted August 23, 2017 Hey guys. On my bino adapter from Swarovski it appears the receiver is stuck in the locked position. Swarovski said it's too old to be in warranty and are willing to give me a discount on a new unit (good customer service eh?) however I'm not sure how much that discounts going to be, as well as I don't need another stud (yet). Anyone out there got an extra receiver their willing to part with?

AZ420 Report post Posted August 23, 2017 If it's the Swarovski tripod adaptor, I would throw it away and get the outdoorsman adaptor

12 RING Report post Posted August 23, 2017 how much does a stud generally run?
mfernaz Report post Posted August 24, 2017 The stud I believe is $16, and the short adapter works on all size of binos I had a pair of swaro 15x56 and it worked just fine. But if you have EL's you'll have to get them to outdoorsmans on a Thursday, they send them out to insert the stud and you get them the fallowing Thursday. That's $80 I believe. https://outdoorsmans.com/collections/tripod-accessories/products/outdoorsmans-swarovski-binocular-stud-2 https://outdoorsmans.com/collections/tripod-accessories/products/outdoorsmans-swarovski-el-stud-install There you go. 12 RING Report post Posted August 24, 2017 what would u say are the perks of the outdoorsman over the swarovski. they seem to have similar design?
mfernaz Report post Posted August 24, 2017 Never used the swaro stud, so I can't help you there, but I've used the outdoorsmans for the past 5-6 years and I love it, it's quick and secure/solid. I guess if you have to invest another $100+ to switch, is just keep what you have and talk to the guy that has a swarovski receiver stud.
12 RING Report post Posted August 24, 2017 yeah i texted him he hasnt texted back so idk. if that falls through and the discount isnt 100 then might as well switch
mfernaz Report post Posted August 24, 2017 What swaros do you have?
Camofreak Report post Posted August 24, 2017 Ive had both, outdoorsmans all the way. Its a lot more secure in the outdoorsmans adapter, and you can lock it down. The swaro one isnt as secure. Shoot me a message, i might be able to help you out with a stud so you dont have to pay another $20 for it.
