mbiewer Report post Posted August 23, 2017 Propane tanks are good for 12 years, from the manufactured date stamped in the valve collar (the part that doubles as a handle). On the "bbq" sized ones, I just swap it out in the kiosk. It might be slightly under filled, but I can hit any depot, or frys and swap it out. I had a bigger one, it was like 5 ft tall (gave it away when I moved). that one I would get recertified (Arizona propane, by bass pro). Certification lasts 5 years. AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted August 23, 2017 Az propane wanted $50 to re-certify. Ended up buying new ones for $48 each shipped for free. Easy math. If I was anywhere near Eager I would be taking my business to the fine folks up there. Thanks all for the replies.
