muledeerarea33? Report post Posted August 17, 2017 Easy one lol. Didn't have time to get on a boat but got to watch two boats come in and unload. Both were 3 days out. Seemed like 200-300 fish per boat. Not sure if that's good or bad but it was the most fish I've ever seen!
Saguaro Report post Posted August 17, 2017 That's a lot of fish. I haven't been in a while, but they used to fillet and bag your fish on the boat on the way back to the docks.
PRDATR Report post Posted August 17, 2017 Not bad, but not great either. The bite has been spotty.
CatfishKev Report post Posted August 18, 2017 I remember you asking about it. Did you find a good place to buy? did you get to fish at all?
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted August 18, 2017 I remember you asking about it. Did you find a good place to buy? did you get to fish at all? funny, I researched the crap out of it. While we were there Tuesday night I had asked a cop if I put money in the correct parking meter (never parked at a meter before) so we got to talking and I asked where to get fish. He reccomnded The Fish Market or Point Loma, which was the two best places I was told. Ended up at Point Loma since they opened two hours earlier than the other. Bought a crap load of good stuff and bbqing some this weekend. Thanks to the guys who pointed me there. And no, didn't have time to fish. After seeing the operations I really want to! PRDATR Report post Posted August 18, 2017 Plenty of options for 1/2 or 3/4 day trips too. If the ship goes into Mexican waters you will need to bring your passport. It helps to follow the daily reports when choosing a charter. http://www.sportfishingreport.com/pages/docktotals.php
