Seems unnessary to me but I've never used one. It's creative at the least.

Will be using one helping on a friend's archery bull hunt next month. I really do like the sound --- the wooden body tones things down, makes for very realistic cow calls ...

Can't imagine using it on my solo hunts with a bull coming in. Being able to use a mouth diaphragm I can stop a bull when I am at full draw without having to move. Why not just buy a bite and blow?

I bought one a couple months ago from Ross.. I will be using it this elk hunt. I saw on the social media where Arizona Elk Society was saying good things about it.
